The CVRTA had its beginnings as a dedicated group of taxpayers living and doing business in the region close to the City of Lloydminster. It appeared that, through the
actions and policies of the County of Vermilion River, this area was being unfairly targeted through the continuation of high levels of municipal taxation and the proposed
implementation of Off-Site Levies for transportation and storm water management. As time progressed it became evident that, not only was the County unwilling to work with the affected stakeholders, they had taken the process beyond using this area as a pilot project and were beginning to implement their policies and practices in the rest of the
County. It was time to move forward.
At the AGM on May 2, 2012 a Notice of Motion was introduced whereby the CVRTA expand its membership eligibility to all companies, businesses, organizations, individuals or business-related entities within the boundaries of the County of Vermilion River. This Special Resolution was carried.
The CVRTA invites interested people to support and participate in our organization. If you are registering for the first time – welcome! If you are renewing your membership, we appreciate your continuing support. The following memberships are available (new rates, effective January 1, 2013):
